In three days one Palestinian killed 95 injured in J’lem

Sunday 30-June-2019

In the past three days the Israeli occupation police in Jerusalem killed one Palestinian civilian injured over 95 others and arrested about 30 in Issawiya district a development seen by the Palestinians as part of Israel’s efforts to evict the natives from their holy city.

The police have also imposed mass punitive measures against the local residents in Issawiya storming their homes and hospitals brutalizing them causing damage to their vehicles and property and imposing financial penalties and movement restrictions on them.

Last Thursday June 27 2019 an Israeli police officer cold-bloodedly killed 20-year-old Mohamed Obeid during skirmishes that broke out with local youths after police forces attacked a protest rally in Issawiya. The body of martyr Obeid has been detained by the Israeli occupation authority since that day.

Over 95 Palestinians from Issawiya have also been injured during the events that started last Thursday.

74 of those citizens suffered from rubber bullet injuries seven from fractures and 15 from inhaling tear gas according to a Red Crescent source.

During the same days about 30 citizens from Issawiya were kidnaped mostly from homes by Israeli police forces. The detention of most of them has been extended until Monday or Tuesday.

Last Thursday scores of Issawiya residents participated in a protest rally against their exposure to aggressive and racist practices by the Israeli occupation authority especially the demolition and seizure of homes and property.
