IOF kidnaps 25 Palestinians in W. Bank and J’lem

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday kidnapped at least 25 Palestinian citizens including university students and ex-detainees during campaigns in different West Bank and Jerusalem areas.

However a statement by the Israeli army claimed its forces arrested 17 Palestinians overnight in the West Bank.

According to local sources the IOF confiscated dozens of thousands of shekels during raids on Palestinian homes in Nablus on allegations that they were intended to fund activities against Israel and its citizens.

Local sources told a reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli troops stormed Arraba town south of Jenin and kidnaped Mohamed Hamdan (ex-detainee) and Mustafa al-Arida after ransacking their homes.

The IOF also kidnapped Ahmed Derweesh the spokesman for the Islamic Bock at an-Najah University from his home in Nablus city.

Another Najah University student called Ibrahim Abu Shalhoub an Islamic Bloc activist was taken prisoner during an IOF campaign in Deir al-Ghusoun town north of Tulkarem.

Zaki Radwan (an ex-detainee) was also rounded up and physically assaulted following an altercation with Israeli soldiers who raided him house in Azzun town east of Qalqilya.

Other two ex-detainees identified as Husni al-Amoudi and Aouni al-Shakh’shir were kidnapped from their homes in Nablus city.

Many other citizens were also taken prisoners during IOF campaigns in different West Bank areas.

In Jerusalem eight citizens were kidnapped from their homes in Hizma village.
