The Israeli police on Tuesday set up metal barriers in Bab al-Amud area near al-Aqsa Mosque further restricting the presence of Palestinian youths and worshipers in the square.
Clashes flare up almost every night between Palestinian youths and the Israeli police forces who assault them and prevent them from organizing any Ramadan-related events and activities in the area.
Meanwhile 37 Jewish settlers broke into al-Aqsa Mosque and toured its courtyards before they left the site through al-Silsila Gate.
