The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday morning attacked Palestinian and foreign activists and journalists as they were rallying in solidarity with Palestinian families and farmers in Umm al-Arayis and Bir al ‘Idd hamlets south of al-Khalil.
According to local sources the IOF arrested over 20 activists and journalists during the solidarity sit-in and declared the area a closed military zone.
Dozens of activists flocked to Umm al-Arayis area to help farmers and local residents reach their lands which are threatened with annexation for Jewish settlers.
