A Palestinian elderly woman on Friday evening suffered breathing problems and burns after an Israeli soldier fired a tear gas canister directly at her during clashes in the occupied West Bank.
According to eyewitnesses 70-year-old Khadra Rab’aee from At-Tuwani village in Masafer Yatta was hit by a tear gas canister during clashes between local youths and Israeli soldiers.
The aged woman who suffered burns in one of her shoulders and suffocation was evacuated by an ambulance crew to the Hospital of Abul-Hasan al-Qasem in Yatta town.
The eyewitnesses affirmed that the events started after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed the village and tried to prevent local farmers from harvesting crops.
