The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Friday demolished two apartments belonging to the family of Palestinian prisoner Arafat Irfa’iya in al-Jami’ah suburb in al-Khalil.
Local sources said that a large number of Israeli soldiers encircled and stormed a five-story building and evacuated the residents before embarking on demolishing two apartments belonging to the family of Irfa’iya.
Consequently violent clashes broke out between soldiers and angry local youths.
In early March the IOF handed the family of Irfa’iya a military order notifying them of its intent to raze their apartments.
Prisoner Irfa’iya has been accused by the Israeli prosecution of killing a female settler about two months ago in Occupied Jerusalem.
