The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has issued a decision banishing two female students from Birzeit University in Birzeit town near Ramallah for several months.
According to the Israeli decision student Ola Totah was ordered not to enter the University’s campus for one month and student Sa’ida Za’arir for four months.
Recently the Israeli occupation forces kidnapped five Birzeit male students. All of them are members of the Islamic Bloc at the University the student wing of Hamas.
Such Israeli measures against Birzeit students from the Islamic Bloc are seemingly aimed at disrupting the Bloc’s participation in the student union elections slated for next April.
In the context of their coordination with the IOF the Palestinian Authority security forces also followed suit and recently arrested several students from different West Bank universities.
