Wednesday 6-March-2019

The Israeli police on Wednesday arrested two Palestinians in Umm al-Fahm city in the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories.

Palestinian sources said that the Israeli police arrested a young man and woman for allegedly spray painting graffiti calling for boycotting the Knesset elections and protesting Israel’s Minister of Interior Aryeh Deri’s visit to Umm al-Fahm.

The Israeli media reported that a number of Palestinians late on Tuesday spray painted slogans on the walls of several buildings in Umm al-Fahm that slam Deri’s visit to the city on Wednesday and call for boycotting the upcoming Israeli selections.

The graffiti also included drawings honoring Palestinian martyrs and prisoners in Israeli jails and writings supporting the Palestinian cause such as “Boycott” “Gaza is free” and “Jerusalem is ours”.
