Soldiers and settlers assault detain three shepherds in al-Khalil

Sunday 24-February-2019

The Israeli occupation forces and Jewish settlers on Saturday evening detained and brutalized three shepherds as they were grazing their sheep south of Yatta in al-Khalil province.

Local official Rateb al-Jabour reported that Israeli soldiers employees from the nature authority and a large number of extrimist settlers chased the shepherds who are from the families of Abu Younis and al-Jabbarin and detained them.

Jabour noted that such assault on the shepherds was part of ongoing aggressive practices carried out by Jewish settlers living on a hill they seized near Janba village in southern Yatta.

He added that those settlers try to control the land around their outpost and the village and prevent local residents from reaching or working their lands or grazing their cattle in the area.
