The Israeli occupation authorities on Sunday started a new expansion project in Halamish settlement in Ramallah.
Local sources said that the Israeli forces bulldozed vast tracts of privately-owned Palestinian lands in preparation for expanding Halamish which was built illegally on Palestinian lands in Deir Nizam and Nabi Saleh villages.
Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories are considered illegal under international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
On 23rd December 2017 the Security Council adopted Resolution 2334 which calls for a complete halt to Israel’s settlement construction activity in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
