Al-Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas said that its air defense unit fired a number of surface-to-air missiles at Israeli warplanes in Gaza’s airspace on Monday morning.
In a communiqué al-Qassam Brigades stated that the firing of surface-to-air missiles came after Israeli warplanes shot down a Shahab drone belonging to it over the southern area of the Gaza Strip.
The Brigades added that its drone was on a training mission over Gaza.
