The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped at dawn Saturday at least eight Palestinian citizens during raids in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
According to local sources police forces broke into and ransacked several homes in the Old City as part of Israeli repressive measures targeting the Jerusalemite citizens ahead of the Jewish Passover holiday.
During those police raids four Jerusalemite citizens were kidnaped from different neighborhoods in the Old City and another one from Sur Baher town east of the holy city.
Police officers also raided the house of a young man in as-Sa’diya neighborhood in the Old City and handed his family a summons issued against him.
Meanwhile the police detained a photojournalist called Ibrahim as-Singlawi in Bab Hitta neighborhood as he was covering arrests in the Old City.
In the West Bank the IOF kidnaped at dawn three young citizens at a military checkpoint near the illegal settlement of Halamish in the northwest of Ramallah.
