The Land Research Center (LRC) of the Arab Studies Society said that the Israeli occupation state had seized 2.3 million dunums of Palestinian land in the West Bank.
In a statement on Thursday on the 47th anniversary of Land Day LRC added that the occupation state used those seized dunums for the building of 572 settlements and outposts where about 850000 settlers live now despite the presence of international resolutions against settlement construction.
During the Israeli annexation of those West Bank lands the Israeli occupation authority demolished 12350 Palestinian homes and uprooted over 2000000 perennial olive trees LRC pointed out.
In addition to its land theft operations in the West Bank the occupation state carried out systematic demolitions against Palestinian villages in 1948 occupied Palestine (Israel) as happened repeatedly with al-Araqib village in the Negev desert LRC said.
