Dozens of Jewish settlers defiled the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on the seventh day of the holy month of Ramadan.
The settlers entered the Mosque in different groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards under tight police guard.
Meanwhile the Israeli police imposed tight entry restrictions on Palestinian worshipers at the Aqsa Mosque’s gates.
The Israeli police earlier extended the duration of the settler presence at the Mosque for half an hour.
For their part Palestinians called for intensifying their presence at the holy site and protecting it against Israeli desecration.
