Sunday 26-March-2023

A horde of extremist Jewish settlers fenced on Saturday a vast tract of pastoral land in the northern Jordan Valley while others carried out attacks in the northwest of Nablus.

Local official Moataz Bisharat said that settlers seized swaths of pastoral land in Abul-Qandoul area south of Ein al-Hilweh in the northern Jordan Valley and fenced them.

In a separate incident another group of settlers blocked al-Maleh junction in the northern Jordan Valley and attacked Palestinian vehicles.

Local sources said that settlers rallied at al-Maleh junction and started to throw stones at passing cars before blocking the road with rocks.

Palestinian vehicles also came under similar attack from settlers near the town of Deir Sharaf northwest of Nablus. Some cars reportedly sustained damage in the attack.

The Red Crescent for its part said that one of its ambulance crews transferred a wounded citizen to Rafidia Hospital after settlers attacked a Palestinian restaurant in Deir Sharaf west of Nablus.
