Six Palestinians injured by IOF gunfire in Nablus

Thursday 16-March-2023

At least six Palestinian citizens were injured and many others suffered from their exposure to tear gas during clashes last night with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Nablus City.

According to the Red Crescent six citizens were injured three of them by live ammunition and about 52 others suffered from inhaling tear gas during overnight clashes with the IOF in the eastern area of Nablus.

The IOF also obstructed the movement of Red Crescent ambulances in the area and prevented some of them from evacuating wounded citizens.

The skirmishes started after Israeli troops aboard military vehicles including a bulldozer stormed the eastern area of Nablus and spread through its streets in order to provide protection for buses and cars carrying dozens of settlers who came for rituals at Joseph’s Tomb.

In Ramallah the IOF stormed at dawn Thursday Ni’lin town and raided homes after local residents participated in the reception of Salah al-Khawaja the father of martyr Moataz upon his release from an Israeli jail two days ago.

The IOF kidnaped senior Hamas official Salah al-Khawaja and his son Mohamed last Friday and took measurements of their house as a prelude to demolishing it as a measure intended to punish the family after its son Moataz recently carried out a shooting operation in Tel Aviv.

Meanwhile the IOF kidnaped five citizens during dawn raids in Jenin City amid armed clashes with resistance fighters.

The IOF also kidnaped one citizen from his home in Beit Jala town and two others from Qalqilya.
