The Muhjat Al-Quds Foundation reported that the Palestinian prisoner Khader Adnan has been on hunger strike for the 38th day in a row on Tuesday in protest at his continued detention.
“Prisoner Adnan lives under harsh circumstances in the Ramleh prison cells” the Foundation underlined stressing that he suffers from deteriorating health conditions.
The Foundation quoted Adnan as saying that he uses a wheelchair to move adding that the solitary confinement cell where he is held is unsanitary and full of insects.
Adnan has been on hunger strike since he was arrested from his home south of the West Bank city of Jenin on the 5th of February 2023.
The 44-year-old Adnan from Arraba town south of Jenin is an ex-prisoner who spent more than seven years in Israeli prisons. He had been on hunger strike five times four of which were in protest at his administrative detention.
