Israel launches massive demolition campaign in Jerusalem West Bank

Israel launched a massive demolition campaign in occupied Jerusalem and West Bank on Monday.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished four tin structures in Shaab al-Batm village east of Masafer Yatta south of the West Bank city of al-Khalil leaving 40 Palestinian citizens most of whom are women and children without a shelter.

Local sources underlined that the structures were destroyed for the third time in favor of expanding the illegal settlement of Avigal.

Meanwhile Israeli bulldozers razed three Palestinian houses belonging to the Tutah Palestinian family in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in Occupied Jerusalem leaving 20 Palestinian citizens without a shelter.

Earlier in the morning Israeli bulldozers destroyed residential structures and levelled Palestinian agricultural land after storming the town of al-Isawiyya in Jerusalem.

In a related development Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) delivered stop-work orders against 14 residential and agricultural structures in al-Zawiya town in the West Bank governorate of Salfit.

Moreover IOA delivered a stop-work order against a 30-square-meter agricultural room belonging to the Palestinian citizen Salih Qassem in Jayyous village northeast of city of Qalqilya.

In another incident the IOF confiscated mobile houses in the al-Matar area to the east of Jericho.

Last January Israel carried out 3532 violations in Jerusalem and West Bank including 154 raids. In addition 40 Palestinian houses were demolished while dozens of homes received demolition orders.
