The Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails have continued on Monday their disobedience steps for the 21st day which they staged in protest at the arbitrary punitive measures that were taken against them recently at the behest of far-right security minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
As part of their escalating protest program the prisoners decided today to refuse their meals and to declare a state of night alert in all Israeli jails at 10:00 p.m.
The Captive Movement had declared a set of protest steps in all Israeli prisons last month that include a mass disobedience and an open hunger strike next Ramadan.
According to the announcement the protest steps were in rejection of the Israeli punitive measures imposed against the prisoners since the right-wing minister Itamar Ben-Gvir was sworn in as national security minister in the new Israeli government.
The statement pointed out that the Palestinian prisoners are readying themselves for organized disobedience which they anticipate will escalate into a full-scale hunger strike.
