The Israeli occupation army notified on Wednesday Palestinian citizens of its intent to demolish several homes and tourist villas belonging to them in ad-Duyuk at-Tahta village west of Jericho at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
Local sources told a reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that Israeli forces stormed the village demolished a two-story house belonging to a Palestinian citizen from east Jerusalem and delivered demolition notices against 20 homes and tourist villas.
Seven Palestinian homes have been demolished in the village by the Israeli army since the beginning of the current year.
Like in east Jerusalem the Israeli occupation authority systematically demolishes Palestinian homes and structures in the West Bank at the pretext of unlicensed construction while it prevents the local residents from obtaining permits or makes it difficult for them to meet construction conditions.
