Israeli authorities on Tuesday banned the Member of the European Parliament Ana Miranda from entering 1948 occupied Palestine preventing her from spending a few days in Palestine as a member of the Delegation for relations with Palestine (DPAL).
“After hours of waiting Israel denied me entry” MEP Ana Miranda tweeted adding that she was forced to wait from 9 pm until 5 am before she was deported to Madrid.
For her part MEP Grace O’Sullivan tweeted that the Israeli practice is unacceptable pointing out that their colleague Manu Pineda had been denied entry as well.
The parliamentary delegation DPAL headed by Margaret O’Kanea is visiting Palestine from the 21st to the 23rd of February 2023.
