The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) detonated at dawn Thursday a five-story building in al-Khalil belonging to the family and relatives of Palestinian martyr Mohamed al-Ja’bari who carried out a shooting operation a few months ago in al-Khalil.
According local sources the IOF destroyed the entire apartment building of al-Ja’bari family with explosives amid clashes with local youths in al-Khalil City.
A large number of Israeli troops stormed the southern area of al-Khalil on Wednesday evening closed off roads and occupied rooftops of homes around the family’s building before embarking on evacuating relatives of martyr Ja’bari from it and preparing it for detonation.
The IOF also forced families living around the building to leave their homes before blowing it up.
Last February an Israeli court approved the demolition of an apartment building belonging to relatives of martyr Ja’bari in the southern area of al-Khalil City and rejected a petition filed by his family against the punitive measure.
Mohamed al-Ja’bari carried out in last October a shooting operation in the illegal settlement of Kiryat Arba killing two settlers and wounding five others.
