The Palestinian Electricity Distribution Company has said that the Gaza Strip suffers from a big electricity deficit especially in the winter season when there is an increased demand for energy.
“We have a big demand for energy and what is available is not enough. This issue has had an impact on the electricity supply schedule” director of the company’s media and public relations Mohamed Thabet told al-Aqsa Radio on Saturday.
“What we have is half of Gaza’s energy needs” he added affirming that the political and economic situation in Gaza is very difficult.
