Jewish settlers torch house vehicle in northern Ramallah

Sunday 29-January-2023

A horde of extremist Jewish settlers set fire to a Palestinian house and a vehicle at dawn Sunday in Turmus Ayya town north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.

According to local sources settlers hurled rocks at Palestinian homes and their property in Turmus Ayya before setting aflame a house and a parked car belonging to Oda Jabara a local resident.

The arson attack destroyed the car entirely and caused partial damage to the external walls of the house.

In another incident a group of settlers assaulted on Saturday evening Palestinian children near the Ibrahimi Mosque in the Old City of al-Khalil south of the West Bank.

Eyewitnesses said that settlers savagely beat a number of local kids near the Ibrahimi Mosque under the noses of Israeli soldiers.

Settler violence happens almost on a daily basis but the right-wing Israeli government on Friday night gave the settlers the green light to intensify their crimes against the Palestinians and their property following the recent Palestinian shooting operations in Occupied Jerusalem.

The Jerusalem shooting incidents are believed to have been carried out in retaliation for the Jenin massacre that was committed recently by the Israeli occupation army.

The Israeli occupation state had not carried out a raid on such a scale in Jenin in years but it is part of an intensified military operation in the occupied West Bank which killed at least 200 Palestinians last year and 32 Palestinians during the current month January.
