Palestinians perform Friday prayer in Khan al-Ahmar village

Friday 27-January-2023

Palestinian citizens performed Friday prayer in Khan al-Ahmar village east of Occupied Jerusalem in solidarity with the families of the village who are subjected to the Israeli forcible displacement plans.

The Friday preacher called for supporting the Palestinian citizens in the village stressing the importance of confronting the Israeli plans to demolish the village and expel its inhabitants.

For his part the head of Settlement and Wall Resistance Commission Moayad Shaaban called on the Palestinian youths to intensify their presence in the village and to participate in the sit-in that is set to start next Tuesday.

The activities come as part of a popular campaign launched in protest against the Israeli resolutions to demolish the Palestinian houses and confiscate their lands in the village.

The Israeli authorities had issued several resolutions stipulating the destruction of the Palestinian structures in the village in 2010 and 2018 while Palestinian citizens submitted a petition against the decisions which was rejected by the Israeli courts.

Khan al-Ahmar which is located 15 kilometers to the east of Occupied Jerusalem shelters 200 Palestinian citizens most of whom are children who are threatened with forcible displacement in favor of the Israeli project “E1” that aims at eliminating the Palestinian existence in the holy city and isolating it from the West Bank.
