The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have launched multiple air strikes on the blockaded Gaza Strip early Friday.
The air strikes came one day after the IOF killed nine Palestinians – including an elderly woman – in the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank.
Security sources in Gaza said that there had been 15 air strikes in the early hours of Friday.
Witnesses and local media reported that Israeli drones fired two missiles at targets in Gaza before fighter jets fired a number of other missiles causing four large explosions.
There were no immediate reports of casualties during the Israeli attacks.
The Israeli army claimed the air raids on Gaza followed the firing of two rockets towards southern Israel at about midnight (22:00 GMT).
At least 20 people were also injured in what has been described as one of the deadliest days in the occupied West Bank since Israel ramped up raids at the start of 2023.
Palestinians have described the Jenin raid as a “massacre”.
