A Palestinian young man was killed on Saturday morning when an extremist Jewish settler opened fire at him near the illegal settlement of Beit El in the occupied West Bank.
According to the Hebrew media the settler claimed that the Palestinian entered the illegal outpost of Sde Ephraim and tried to stab him with a screwdriver.
The Palestinian health ministry identified the victim as 42-year-old Tareq Maali affirming that he was shot dead on Mount Raisan near Kafr Ni’ma town in the northwest of Ramallah.
The incident came amid heightened tensions across the occupied Palestinian territories where the Israeli military and security have been conducting violent raids for long months.
