The Hamas Movement has mourned martyr Ahmed Daraghmeh a 23-year-old who was shot dead by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Thursday in Nablus City.
In a brief statement Hamas affirmed that the ongoing IOF and settler aggression in the West Bank would be met with more Palestinian steadfastness and resistance.
“The martyrdom of Daraghmeh in the arena of pride and honor while he was defending our people has sent a message to the vicious enemy that it cannot go around safely while our people are alert and ready to answer the call of the homeland” the Movement added.
It highlighted that the Palestinian people and their resistance would continue defending themselves their land and holy sites and marching towards the Aqsa Mosque to protect it against desecration.
Ahmed Daraghmeh a soccer player from the West Bank city of Tubas was killed and at least 24 others were wounded during dawn clashes with Israeli forces in the eastern area of Nablus.
The skirmishes started after Israel troops aboard military vehicles stormed eastern Nablus and spread through its streets in order to provide protection for buses and cars carrying hundreds of extremist settlers who flocked to the area to perform rituals at Joseph’s Tomb.
