Muslim religious figures participating in the second International Conference of the Islamic Ummah Scholars for Palestine has renewed their pledge to actively work on serving and supporting the Palestinian cause.
Muslim figures from 70 Islamic institutions participated in the conference that was held on Sunday in the Turkish City of Istanbul to discuss the latest developments of the Palestinian cause and the dangers threatening the Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem.
“The scholars assert that every inch of Palestine is an Islamic land and belongs exclusively to the Muslim nation and they also confirm that the Aqsa Mosque with every part and detail above or beneath its foundations belongs solely to the Muslim nation and that non-Muslims have no right to it whatsoever” a statement released by the conferees stated.
The scholars stressed that “every Muslim has a religious duty to work for the liberation of Palestine Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque to defend them and stand in the face of the conspiracies being hatched against them.”
They also emphasized that the only way to liberate Palestine and purge it from the filth of the Israeli occupation is through engaging in all forms of resistance.
They warned the Muslim Ummah’s leaders and peoples of any reluctance and failure to support the Palestinian people in their struggle against the Israeli occupation and its aggression affirming that the Israeli crimes and terrorism target the entire Ummah and their religion.
