Palestinian young men clashed on Saturday evening with Israeli soldiers at the Atara checkpoint in the north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
WAFA news agency quoted a Palestinian security official as saying that Israeli forces fired live ammunition and volleys of tear gas canisters and stun grenades at local youths who responded by hurling stones.
Meanwhile the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) obstructed the movement of Palestinian citizens and vehicles after setting up several makeshift checkpoints on roads in different areas of Ramallah and Bireh province.
Local sources said that the IOF set up the checkpoints at the main entrance of Yabrud town and on roads near Kafr Ni’ma town Ras Karkar village and Wadi al-Delb reserve.
