The Hamas Movement held on Saturday a military parade under the name “Lions’ Den” in Gaza City on the occasion of its 35th founding anniversary.
Dozens of resistance fighters participated in the event which was attended by senior Hamas officials.
The participants in the parade marched across the streets of Gaza City carrying Palestinian and Hamas flags and pictures of several Palestinian martyrs who were killed recently by the Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank.
In a news conference held at the end of the parade Hamas spokesman Mohamed Hamada reiterated his Movement’s adherence to the option of armed resistance as a “strategic tool to deter the occupation.”
He also reasserted his Movement’s rejection of peace talks security coordination and normalization of ties with the occupation state.
