The thirty-six-year-old mother of five Fadwa is from the town of Sur Baher south of the occupied city of Jerusalem. She was arrested on 12 August 2017.

The Israeli occupation accused her of attempting to carry out a stabbing attack in the Damascus Gate area and she was sentenced to ten years in prison and a fine of 30000 shekels ($9245).
