The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) demolished on Wednesday morning a Palestinian house in the holy city of Jerusalem.
According to local sources a demolition crew from the Israeli municipality stormed Salahuddin street in east Jerusalem under police escort and embarked on finishing the destruction of a house belonging to Azzam Abu Asab.
Last month the Israeli municipality forced Abu Asab to knock down part of his house at the pretext of unlicensed construction.
The homeowner’s son Saif said that police forces and municipal employees stormed their home and assaulted members of his family before wreaking havoc on everything adding that police officers stole 3000 shekels from the house.
The Jerusalemites have no choice but to build without licenses because there are no structural maps that respond to the natural increase in their numbers.
The IOA also imposes building restrictions on the Palestinian natives in Occupied Jerusalem and makes it hard for them to obtain construction licenses.
Israel’s systematic demolition of Palestinian homes in the holy city is believed to be aimed at psychologically destroying the Jerusalemite families in an attempt to force them to move from their city.
