The Hamas Movement on Monday urged the United Nations to shoulder its responsibility and prosecute Israel for its crimes.
Spokesman of the Hamas Movement Jihad Taha called on the UN to pressure Israel to stop its violations against the Palestinian people in the West Bank.
He urged the international organization to act urgently to end the blockade imposed by Israel on the Palestinian cities and refugee camps in the West Bank which constitutes a collective punishment of unarmed Palestinians and a blatant violation of the international law.
“The Movement welcomes the efforts of the special envoy of the UN Secretary-General for the Middle East Tor Wennesland in halting the Israeli aggression and terrorism against the Palestinian people” Taha said calling on Wennesland to condemn the Israeli repeated attacks and expose them before the UN’s concerned bodies.
