Israeli gunboats opened heavy machinegun fire at Palestinian fishing boats off the southern coast of Khan Younis on Sunday morning.

Local sources said that the intensity of the shooting that was coupled with firing teargas at the fishermen forced them to return ashore without completing their work.

Israeli occupation forces target Palestinian fishermen farmers and shepherds in the Gaza Strip on semi-daily basis as part of the tightening siege on the beleaguered enclave.

Israeli navy gunboats opened machinegun fire and water cannons at Palestinian fishermen while working off the Gaza Sea on Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile Israeli occupation soldiers advanced into northern and southern Gaza Strip border areas amidst intermittent shooting.

Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers escorted military bulldozers into eastern Qarara area to the northeast of Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip and went on levelling Palestinian cultivated land lots.

A similar incursion was reported in northern Beit Lahia town to the northernmost area of the besieged enclave. Locals said that the Israeli soldiers bulldozed agricultural land and opened intermittent fire in the process.

Israeli navy gunboats opened machinegun fire at Palestinian fishing boats while working off the coast of southern Gaza Strip on Saturday morning.

Fishing committees in the Strip said that the Israeli gunboats chased the Palestinian fishermen off the Rafah coast in southern Gaza Strip at dawn Saturday while firing at them at random.

The fishermen were forced to return ashore the committees said adding that no one was hurt in the shooting.

Gaza fishermen are attacked by Israeli gunboats on semi-daily basis that end up in most cases in either arrests or damages to their fishing boats.

Israeli gunboats opened machinegun fire at Palestinian fishing boats working at sea to the north west of Gaza Strip on Saturday morning with no casualties reported.

The fishermen committees said that the incident took place off al-Sudaniya area adding that the fishermen were fishing within the allowed area of fishing.

The Israeli gunboats had fired twice at Palestinian fishing boats on late Friday night in various areas of the Gaza Sea.

Israeli navy gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of Gaza City on Saturday morning.

Local sources said that the gunboats opened machinegun fire and water cannons on the fishing boats three nautical miles off the northwest of Gaza coast.

They said that the attack damaged a number of fishing boats and forced the fishermen to return to shore fearing for their lives.

The Israeli navy forces routinely attack Palestinian fishing boats and block their work causing casualties and material damage other than arresting fishermen and confiscating their boats.

GAZA (PIC)– Israeli navy gunboats opened heavy machinegun fire at Palestinian fishing boats while at sea off the coast of Khan Younis and Rafah to the south of Gaza Strip on Saturday night.

Source in the marine police told the PIC reporter that the gunboats also fired a number of projectiles at the fishing boats.

They said that the fishermen returned to shore to avoid the shooting adding that no casualties were reported.

The attack fell in line with the constant targeting of those fishermen despite working in the limited area allowed for them to fish in Gaza waters.

RAFAH (PIC)– Israeli navy gunboats opened heavy machinegun fire at Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of Rafah south of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday night.

Sources in the marine police told the PIC reporter that the incident took place half a mile off Rafah harbor.

They said that the shooting was coupled with the firing of flare bombs adding that no casualties were reported.

Palestinian fishermen are constant targets for Israeli navy gunboats while fishing at sea off Gaza Strip coasts.

GAZA (PIC)– Israeli gunboats opened heavy machinegun fire at Palestinian fishing boats off the coast of Gaza city and Sudaniya area north of Gaza Strip on Sunday morning.

A PIC reporter said that no casualties or damages were reported in the heavy shooting that targeted fishermen and their boats.

Israeli navy boats routinely fire at Palestinian fishing boats off the coasts of the besieged enclave detain fishermen and confiscate their fishing tools and boats.

Fishermen try to work within the six nautical miles radius specified to them by the Israeli navy but are almost always targeted by the navy gunboats.

Sources in the marine police told the PIC reporter that the gunboats opened heavy fire at the fishing boats but no casualties or damages were reported.

Israeli navy vessels target Palestinian fishing boats on semi-daily basis even in the six nautical miles distance area recently re-allowed by the Israeli occupation authorities.
