Israeli court banishes five Jerusalemites from Aqsa Mosque

Thursday 6-October-2022

Five Jerusalemite young men received on Thursday Israeli court verdicts banning their entry to the Aqsa Mosque until October 18 and ordering each one of them to post bail of 500 shekels.

The five young men are Tareq Alyan Rami Abdul-Salam Mohamed Mahamid and Mohamed and Nael Jabbarin.

Lawyer Khaled Zabarqa who represented them said the young men committed no offence and were detained on Wednesday during their presence at the Aqsa Mosque after they performed morning prayers in its courtyards.

Hundreds of Jewish settlers desecrated the Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday and Wednesday under tight police guard to mark the Yom Kippur holiday while Muslim worshipers were exposed during those days to different police restrictions preventing their entry to their Aqsa Mosque or their presence in its courtyards.
