Jewish settlers resume settlement activities in northern Jordan Valley

Saturday 10-September-2022

Jewish settlers recently resumed constructing settlement structures in the vicinity of Ein al-Sakout spring in the northern Jordan Valley northeast of the West Bank.

According to Moataz Bisharat in-charge of settlements file in Tubas governorate Jewish settlers installed umbrellas in preparation to control the spring of Ein al-Sakout and turn it into touristic resort preventing Palestinian civilians from reaching it.

Jewish settlers proceeded in building cement and iron structures in the area one month ago. They had already set up iron gates in the vicinity of the spring two years ago.

The northern Jordan Valley has recently witnessed escalating settlement activities that aim to seize control of the water springs of the area as Jewish settlers had seized full control of the Khilat Khader and Ain al-Hilweh water springs.
