The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday arrested a Palestinian young man while on his way to travel abroad via the al-Karama border crossing with Jordan.
Director of Palestinian Prisoners Society in Jenin Montaser Samour told WAFA news agency that 29-year-old Anan Jad from the village of Barta’a in Jenin was arrested at the border crossing while he was on his way to Turkey.
In a related incident the IOF soldiers intensified their presence and set up makeshift checkpoints in the vicinities of the Rummanah Zabouba al-Tayba Ta’anak and Aneen villages in the Jenin governorate.
