Jerusalemite activists from Nabi Samwil town have urged their compatriots across the occupied territories to attend the Friday khutba (sermon) and prayer at the town’s Mosque tomorrow.
They also called for participating in the sit-in to be held in the town to protest Israeli aggressive practices committed by settlers and soldiers against them and their property.
They affirmed that the intensive presence of Palestinian citizens in the town would help the local residents face an intended settler attack tomorrow.
Recently an extremist settler group incited their followers to storm Nabi Samwil town and its Mosque in large numbers on Friday.
The local residents of Nabi Samwil in the northwest of Jerusalem are vulnerable to systematic violence by Jewish settlers and soldiers.
Like in other Palestinian areas of Jerusalem the Israeli occupation authority maintains a policy of closures and siege against Nabi Samwil violating the local residents’ right to movement and residency and pursuing a policy of ethnic cleansing and racial discrimination in all aspects of life.
