The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished on Monday morning the family homes of the two prisoners Subhi Imad Sbeihat 19 and Asaad Yousef Al-Rifai 20 for being involved in Elad stabbing attack.
Since the early morning hours the IOF soldiers stormed Rummana town northwest of Jenin and were deployed on the roofs of the surrounding buildings before demolishing the two-story house of Sbeiha and then Al-Rifai’s house.
As a result seven members of Sabihat family and seven members Al-Rifai family were left homeless.
Dozens of local residents suffered breathing problems after the IOF fired teargas bombs during the demolition process.
In May 2022 Subhi Imad Sbeihat and Asaad Yousef Al-Rifai were arrested after being involved in a stabbing attack in Elad in Tel Aviv.
Demolishing the homes of relatives of Palestinians who are involved in anti-occupation attacks is prohibited collective punishment and is one of the most extreme measures used by Israel.
Over the years Israel has demolished hundreds of homes leaving homeless thousands of people who had done no wrong and were not suspected of any wrongdoing.
