Thousands march in W. Bank to protest Israeli aggression against Gaza

Saturday 6-August-2022

Thousands of Palestinian citizens marched on Friday evening in Ramallah and al-Khalil in protest at the Israeli occupation’s aggression against the Gaza Strip and in support of the Palestinian resistance.

In Ramallah scores of citizens marched through several streets and rallied at al-Manara rotary in the central district of the city while carrying Palestinian flags and chanting slogans against the Israeli aggression and in support of Gaza and the resistance.

A similar massive march also took place in the central district of al-Khalil. The participants carried placards and chanted slogans in solidarity with Gaza.

The Israeli occupation army started on Friday evening to launch a series of aerial attacks on Gaza killing 10 citizens and injuring dozens. A five-year-old girl was among the martyrs.

In a related context several armed wings of Palestinian factions in Jenin including al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas warned the Israeli occupation state that it would pay dearly for its crimes in Gaza.

During a joint news conference held at dawn Saturday in Jenin a spokesman for the armed wings said that all the roads to Jewish settlements would be legitimate targets for Palestinian resistance fighters warning that settler groups would also not be allowed to travel through West Bank streets.

The factions affirmed that the resistance in the West Bank would continue to fulfill its duty towards its people and defend them across the occupied Palestinian land.

In related incidents resistance fighters reportedly targeted the Israeli military checkpoint of Jalamah in northern Jenin with homemade explosive devices last night and opened fire at Israeli soldiers during a morning arrest campaign in southern Jenin.
