Two Israeli soldiers wounded in resistance attacks

JENIN (PIC)– An Israeli soldier was wounded during an incursion into the Jenin refugee camp Wednesday morning while a security guard was seriously injured when a Palestinian stabbed him at the notorious Qalandia roadblock.

IOF sources said that one of its soldiers was wounded during an incursion into the Jenin refugee camp that was met with stiff resistance on the part of Palestinian fighters defending their homes.

The IOF sources said the serviceman was hospitalized.

Meanwhile Hebrew media reports said that a soldier in the seam line area was wounded after being stabbed in the neck by a Palestinian at the Qalandia barrier north of occupied Jerusalem.

The guard received medical care on the spot but his condition was reportedly serious according to the Hebrew daily ‘Yedioth Ahronoth’.
 
It claimed that Border Guard police arrested a Palestinian suspected of stabbing the soldier. IOF soldiers manning the Qalandia barrier are known for their harsh treatment and provocation of Palestinians passing through it.
