Two Palestinian young men were injured and other citizens were kidnaped when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed different areas of the West Bank at dawn Thursday and later in the morning.
A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that two young men suffered bullet injuries in their legs during clashes between local youths and the IOF in Bireh City in the Ramallah province.
Eight citizens were reportedly kidnaped by the IOF from different areas of Bireh and Ramallah.
The IOF also kidnaped senior Islamic Jihad official Abdul-Haleem Izzuddin from al-Zahra neighborhood in Jenin City and a young man from Huwara town in southern Nablus.
Three others were also taken prisoners during IOF raids in different areas of Jenin. One of the detainees was identified as Adel Zakarnah the brother of martyr Mohamed Zakarnah who was shot dead in Jenin about two months ago.
Armed clashes reportedly took place in the morning between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli soldiers in Jenin City and its refugee camps.
Earlier the Israel occupation police raided several homes and kidnaped several citizens during a campaign on Wednesday evening in Shuafat refugee camp northeast of Jerusalem.
Local sources said that Israeli soldiers raided many homes in Shuafat camp and kidnaped Jerusalemite activist Youssef Mukhaimer and his son Faris.
Police forces also kidnaped a number of Jerusalemite and West Bank young men in streets near the military checkpoint at the main entrance of Shuafat camp.
Employees from the Israeli municipality in the occupied holy city also stormed Shuafat camp under police escort and pillaged several commercial stores.
The police forces also clashed with local youths and randomly showered homes stores and passersby with volleys of tear gas.
