Israeli navy forces opened fire at Palestinian fishermen and their fishing boats off the southern coast of the besieged Gaza Strip on Sunday evening.
Local sources affirmed that Israeli gunboats fired machine guns at the fishing boats sailing within a few nautical miles off the southwestern shores of Gaza. No casualties were reported during the attack which forced the fishermen to return ashore.
Meanwhile the Israeli forces opened live fire at Palestinian homes east of the town of Qarara northeast of Khan Yunis near the southern Gaza border fence.
Israeli naval forces and their gunboats are around Gaza fishermen almost every day harassing them shooting at them damaging their boats and making arrests. Sometimes fishermen are injured or killed during gunfire attacks.
