Member of Hamas’s political bureau Khalil al-Hayya has described the Palestinian cause as “the focal point of the Ummah’s unity” and the Aqsa Mosque as “the central part of the Ummah’s struggle against its enemies.”
During the Eid al-Adha khutba (sermon) he delivered in Gaza on Saturday Hayya stated that all the attempts that had been made by the Ummah’s enemies to distract it from the Aqsa Mosque failed affirming that “the Ummah’s faithful masses in the east and west of the earth still chant for Palestine and the Aqsa Mosque.”
He applauded Algeria’s special forces for chanting slogans in support of Gaza during the military parade that was held recently to mark the country’s independence day stressing that the Palestinian people’s steadfastness and resistance became the Ummah’s hope after its preoccupation with its internal wars.
