The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Friday extended the detention order of the Palestinian prisoner Saed Abu al-Baha for six months.
According to Al Huriya News Agency prisoner Abu al-Baha was arrested on the 3rd of February 2022 after his home in Beituniya town in Ramallah district was stormed. His detention came only 7 months after his release from Israeli jail.
Abu al-Baha who is a Hamas leader in Ramallah is an ex-detainee. He had spent many years in Israeli jails mostly in administrative detention. He had been held in the Palestinian Authority prisons as well.
About 4600 Palestinian prisoners are held in Israeli prisons including 500 administrative detainees in addition to 700 patients including 300 diagnosed with chronic diseases who need continuous treatment.
