Israeli naval forces on Wednesday arrested two Palestinian fishermen off the northern coast of the blockaded Gaza Strip according to a local official.
Israeli forces attacked Palestinian fishing boats and arrested two fishermen said Nizar Ayyash head of Gaza’s fishermen union.
He identified the detainees as Zayed Zaki Taroush and Mahmoud Al-Saedi.
Under an inhumane siege the Israeli army keeps attacking — sometimes injuring or killing — farmers and fishermen almost on a daily basis with no regard for the mediated ceasefire deals in Gaza or even the international law.
According to Palestinian figures roughly 50000 inhabitants of Gaza earn their living through fishing.
