Two Palestinians killed by IOF gunfire in Bethlehem and Jenin

A Palestinian young man was shot dead on Thursday morning after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed al-Deheisha refugee camp in southern Bethlehem and clashed with local youths.

The slain young man was identified as 28-year-old Ayman al-Abwini an ex-detainee affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

Local sources said that young men clashed with Israeli soldiers who stormed the camp in large numbers and showered them with stones empty bottles and Molotov cocktails adding that homemade explosive devices were detonated by youths during the events.

They also said that the IOF intensively fired live ammunition and tear gas canisters at the young men injuring several of them.

Medical sources for their part said that five young men were injured by live bullets including Abwini who was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound in his heart in Beit Jala Hospital adding that many others also suffered from their exposure to tear gas.

During their campaign in the camp the IOF broke into and ransacked multiple homes and kidnaped two young men.

Meanwhile the IOF stormed the towns of al-Khader and Beit Fajjar in Bethlehem and kidnaped two young men following raids on homes.

Late Wednesday another young man called Bilal Qabha was killed by Israeli gunfire during clashes in Ya’bad town where the IOF soldiers were executing a demolition order against the home of martyr Diaa Hamarsha who carried out a deadly shooting operation in the Tel Aviv suburb of Bnei Brak in March.

Six others also suffered from bullet injuries including two seriously during the confrontations with the IOF in Ya’bad.
