A Palestinian activist in Protection and Resilience Committee was injured on Friday after a Jewish settler attacked him in the Masafer Yatta area south of the West Bank city of al-Khalil.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA the coordinator of the Protection and Resilience Committees Fuad Al-Amour affirmed that the Jewish settler brutally beat the Palestinian activist Jaber Zeidan with an iron rod in the face.

Al-Amour underlined that the Committee had organized a rally in protest of the Israeli decision to expel Palestinian citizens from the Masafer Yatta communities south of the West Bank city of al-Khalil.

“Israeli forces imposed restrictions on Palestinians from 1948 Occupied Palestine and intercepted their buses preventing them from reaching the Masafer Yatta area to participate in the rally” Al-Amour confirmed.

He added that the Israeli soldiers fired teargas bombs and stun grenades at the Palestinian protesters to quell the rally which caused breathing problems among scores of Palestinian citizens.
