TULKAREM (PIC)– Hamas Movement has announced that it was pulling out of the factional coordination committee in Tulkarm city protesting the falsification of a statement issued by the committee condemning the killing of Palestinian children in Gaza city a couple of days earlier.
In a press statement he issued on Tuesday and a copy of which was faxed to the PIC Hamas’ political leader in the city Abdullah Yassin explained reasons behind the Movement’s withdrawal saying “The statement was supposed to condemn the killing of the Palestinian pupils in Gaza and call on the PA presidency and government to shoulder responsibility to bring the culprits before justice”.
But he explained the statement was changed and clearly twisted facts throwing the sole responsibility on PA interior minister Sa’eed Siyam which is absolutely not realistic.
Tension ran high in Tulkarm at the backdrop of the crime in Gaza especially in the wake of the violent demonstration organized by Fatah members and members of the PA security apparatuses who badmouthed Hamas and its cadres in addition to shooting at the home of a Hamas cadre in the city.
For its part the PA information ministry unveiled that there were certain quarters in the Palestinian arena “trading with blood of Palestinian children” and employing it for personal and factional purposes”.
Under-secretary of the ministry Dr. Hassan Abu Hashish considered the frenzied media campaign uttered by those quarters against the PA ministers especially Siyam as “unacceptable political exploitation”.
He emphasized that the PA chief Mahmoud Abbas in his capacity as the general commander of the PA security apparatuses is directly responsible for the security mess in Gaza Strip especially after stripping the PA interior ministry of its authority over the PA security apparatuses.
“How could minister Siyam work when in fact Abbas stripped his ministry of authority over those security apparatuses and placed them under his control. This is injustice and clear misleading of the public opinion” charged Abu Hashish.
